WEAVE Confidential Advocate
About the Confidential Advocate
The WEAVE confidential advocate is a person available to confidentially support or provide information to students or employees who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, or sexual harassment.
The confidential advocate is not an employee of Cosumnes River College. The confidential advocate is provided through WEAVE, Sacramento County's primary provider of crisis intervention services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
How Can the Confidential Advocate Help?
The confidential advocate is someone you can share your story with confidentially. They will not report anything to the police or Title IX officer unless you ask them to.
The confidential advocate can:
- Provide emotional support
- Provide information or referrals to on-campus or off-campus resources
- Accompany you to investigations, discipline processes, or hearings

Tess Covarrubias (she/her/ella)
LRCCD Confidential Advocate
I am the WEAVE Advocate for the Los Rios Community College District, providing confidential support to students impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and sex trafficking. I am fluent in Spanish and have passion for serving diverse communities.
A few years ago, I earned my AS in Administration of Justice from Sacramento City College, and I am currently finishing my BS in Criminal Justice. I plan to continue my education at Lincoln Law School this summer. As an adult learner who made the decision to change careers, my background in law enforcement and victim services has led me to WEAVE, where I’m deeply committed to advocacy and social justice. I combine my legal and trauma-informed advocacy experience to support survivors in navigating complex systems and accessing essential resources.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, practicing Pilates, and spending quality moments with my two black cats and my wife.
