Hawk CARES serves the basic needs of our students, ranging from food insecurity to homelessness.

Student Health and Wellness
The Los Rios colleges Student Health & Wellness Centers integrate physical and mental health care into one cohesive team and location allowing us to serve the "whole" student.
Incarcerated and Formerly Incarcerated Students
The Prison and Reentry Education Program (PREP) and Rising Scholars program serve students who have been impacted by the criminal justice system. We provide a variety of resources helping build solid pathways from incarceration to higher education and beyond.
COVID-Related Campus Information
Expanded in-person service depends on continued positive trends in public health conditions and the reduction and elimination of state and local COVID-19 mitigation measures.
Masks are strongly recommended but not required in all district facilities, regardless of vaccination status. Los Rios strongly supports any student or employee's choice to continue wearing a mask if it makes them more comfortable.
FAQ: Student Support Services
Our Admissions and Records and Financial Aid offices have implemented a student PIN on eServices that allows students to verify their identity, so that they can discuss student records over the phone. Watch the following video tutorial to learn how to use the PIN feature.
Our Disability Support Programs and Services (DSPS) office is expanding and supplementing existing services for online students to accommodate the increased demand. Students can call or email the DSPS office to learn about what services are available.
Students can apply for the Los Rios CARES Emergency Fund through the Los Rios Colleges Foundation.
Students can also learn about basic needs resources, including health and wellness resources, financial resources, resources for foster youth and undocumented students, and more.
