Requestor Responsibilities
Students and alumni requesting transcripts assume responsibility for the following:
- Providing the correct mailing address and/or email address.
- Ensuring the recipient accepts your chosen method of delivery.
- Ordering with enough time to meet the recipient's deadline.
- Following up with the recipient to ensure the order's arrival.
Special Transcript Requests

Third-Party Authorization
Student records are protected by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). If a third party is picking up your transcripts, they must provide an authorization signed by you. Online requests that are automatically verified through eServices (or another automated authentication) are the exception to this rule.
Lost Transcripts
We are not responsible if your transcript is lost by the US Postal Service, FedEx, or the school or agency to which it was sent. We are also not responsible if you provide the wrong mailing address and your transcript is lost as a result. You will have to pay the normal fees for new transcript orders.
Unofficial Transcripts
Students may continue to access unofficial transcripts through eServices, under Academic Records, then View Unofficial Transcripts.
FAQ
What is a unified transcript, and how does it work?
A unified transcript is an official transcript that lists your entire academic history at Los Rios (every course from every Los Rios college you've attended) on a single document, neatly organized by college and semester.
Previously, students had to order separate official transcripts for each Los Rios college they attended. Students no longer need to figure out which college to order from; one transcript order handles it all.
Where do I order my transcripts?
We have replaced our four individual college official transcript storefronts with a single, unified transcript storefront. You no longer need to figure out which college's site to visit; one stop handles it all.
Current students can order official transcripts here (or by logging in to eServices, selecting Academic Records, and then selecting Request Official Transcript).
Alumni and former students can order official transcripts here.
Can I still order older records or specialized transcripts?
Yes, the unified storefront includes access to the following:
- Microfilm records: For students with pre-electronic records at Sacramento City College or American River College.
- San Francisco College of Mortuary Science: Transcripts for this specific program are also available through the new central storefront.
What are the transcript delivery options?
You can choose the method that works best for you:
- Electronic (PDF) delivery: Order online and have the official transcript sent via email to any recipient.
- Physical mail delivery: Order online and have the official traditional paper transcripts sent to the address you requested.
- Local pickup: Order online and pick up the official transcript in person at any of the main campuses (American River College, Cosumnes River College, Folsom Lake College, or Sacramento City College).
Can I order a transcript if I’m still waiting for final grades or a degree I've completed to post?
Yes, you can request a "hold" on your order in the following cases:
- Hold for Degree: Your transcript will be released once your degree is officially posted for the term in which your order is placed.
- Hold for Grades: Your transcript will be released once final grades are posted for the term in which your order is placed.
Can I still order my transcript if I owe fees to Cosumnes River College?
Yes – outstanding fees or debt will not prevent you from ordering your transcripts.
How much does a transcript order cost?
The first two official transcript orders are free for all students (regardless of how many transcripts you ordered in the old system that existed before July 2026).
Additional transcripts cost $5 per transcript.
