CRC Philanthropic Impact Report, Fiscal Year 2025–2026
At Cosumnes River College, every gift begins a story of possibility. It can help a student stay in school, strengthen a program, support a team, or provide resources when they are needed most.
In fiscal year 2025–2026, donors and community partners brought those possibilities to life with more than $455,000 in support for CRC students and programs.
That generosity reached across the college from scholarships and student programs to athletics, academic departments, and emerging priorities. Together, these gifts expanded what students could pursue and achieve.
Scholarships
For many students, financial support can make the difference between pausing their education and moving forward.
Donors contributed more than $141,000 to scholarships, nearly one-third of all funds raised.
During the year, CRC awarded 117 scholarships totaling more than $107,000 to 106 students, helping them continue pursuing their educational goals.

Departments and Programs: Expanding What Students Can Experience
More than $157,000 was provided in support of CRC departments and programs.
These gifts helped faculty and staff strengthen learning opportunities, enrich the college experience, and give students more ways to explore their interests and prepare for what comes next.
"Chef Frigm, thank you so much for everything that you have sacrificed to make me a better chef over the past year. I appreciate your knowledge, your humor, and your grace in times that I needed all of the above, and I feel that my cooking has grown in leaps and bounds because of your tutelage. I'm also grateful for this scholarship, as it'll certainly help to pay for incidentals during my fall semester with you. I look forward to continuing to grow as a chef and as a leader so that I can teach others as you have taught me."

Athletics: Helping Student Athletes Thrive
Nearly $70,000 was raised for CRC Athletics, providing important resources for programs that help student athletes compete, learn, and grow as part of the CRC community.
"Thank you for allowing me to receive this scholarship. This money will be helpful in assisting me to pay for future housing. I plan on continuing my academic and athletic career at California State University, Los Angeles to major in computer science. I will be moving down there, and this money will be put towards left over tuition not paid by my athletic scholarship, as well as rent. This money will make my experience easier and my goal of earning my bachelor’s degree closer to a reality. Again, I can not thank you enough for allowing me to receive this scholarship, it is truly a blessing."

Annual Fund and Unrestricted Support: Meeting the Moment
Some needs cannot be predicted. Unrestricted gifts give CRC the flexibility to respond to emerging priorities and direct resources where they can make the greatest difference.
Example
Unrestricted support for the CRC Mini-Grant Program made the Passport to Success Challenge possible, helping 113 students discover valuable tutoring and library resources. The experience strengthened students’ connections to campus while demonstrating how flexible donor support can bring innovative ideas to life.
One Community, Lasting Impact
Together, our community contributed more than $455,000, united by a shared belief in the potential of CRC students.
More than 60% of these funds supported scholarships and programs, while additional gifts strengthened athletics, academic departments, and flexible college priorities, extending the impact across CRC.
