Enrollment Eligibility

To be eligible for enrollment in either the Associate of Science or Certificate of Achievement in Social Work and Human Services, students must:

  • Attend an Orientation session with the Department Chair (Offered at the end of fall/spring semester).
  • Complete an Education Plan with a CRC Counselor (Ray Mapeso, Teresa Aldredge or Alex Kagan).
  • Complete the Canvas Online Learning System and Online Learning Readiness Tutorials found at CRC's Online Education.
  • Communicate effectively with English-speaking individuals.
  • Be able to perform the physical demands in the externship.
  • Complete the application process for enrollment in the SWHS program.
  • Fulfill all requirements set forth by the CRC Allied Health Practicum Guidelines including, but not limited to: background clearance, physical examination, CPR Certification, immunization clearance, and drug screenings.
