SacRT Blue Line Service Disruption from September 11 through 30, 2026

Sacramento Regional Transit; Temporary Blue Line Service Disruption; September 11 to 30, 2026

SacRT is completing important construction work along the Blue Line to improve safety, accessibility, and rider comfort. During this construction window, Blue Line trains will not operate between Meadowview Station and City College Station.

This service change may affect students who travel north or transfer through City College Station, as riders will need to use a shuttle bus (bus bridge) to travel through the construction area.

Timeline

  • September 11 to 30, 2026: Shuttle bus service in place between City College and Meadowview stations
  • October 1, 2026: Regular Blue Line service resumes

The Florin, 47th Avenue, and Fruitridge stations will not be serviced. A shuttle bus will transport passengers between Meadowview, Florin, 47th Avenue, Fruitridge, and City College stations during the disruption. What CRC Riders Need to Know

  • Blue Line trains will continue normal service south of Meadowview Station, including Cosumnes River College Station.
  • Blue Line service will operate normally north of City College Station.
  • Between City College and Meadowview, riders will need to transfer to a shuttle bus.
  • Travel times may be slower than usual, especially for students traveling to CRC Station from the north, or making connections at City College Station.

Additional SacRT staff will be at affected stations to help riders during the disruption.

Traveling to Cosumnes River College (Morning Trips)

If traveling from the North (Watt/I‑80 to City College stations):

  1. Take the Blue Line train to City College Station.
  2. Transfer to the shuttle bus (bus bridge).
  3. Stay on the shuttle until Meadowview Station.
  4. Transfer to the Blue Line train heading to Cosumnes River College Station.

If traveling South of Meadowview Station:

  • No changes. Ride the Blue Line directly to CRC Station as usual.

Leaving Cosumnes River College (Afternoon Trips)

If heading North only to Meadowview Station:

  • No changes. Blue Line available between CRC and Florin stations without needing the bus bridge.

If heading North past Meadowview Station:

  1. Ride the Blue Line to Meadowview Station.
  2. Transfer to the shuttle bus headed to City College Station.
  3. At City College, transfer back to the Blue Line train toward Watt/I‑80 Station.
