Benefits of Dual Enrollment

Save on College Costs

Students can save on college costs by earning dual enrollment credits in high school. High school students who complete dual enrollment classes generally need to take fewer classes in college. Dual enrollment students are also more likely to attend and graduate college.1

Experience College-Level Classes

Dual enrollment courses are different in that they are taught with the rigor of a college course. Students use college-level textbooks and follow college syllabi, just as they would if they took a class at Cosumnes River College. Assignments are graded using college rubrics and standards. The student's final grade in their dual enrollment class is recorded on their official Cosumnes River College transcript.
