Fire Technology Program Receives New Fire Truck

CRC's new fire engine

The Fire Technology program has received a fire truck to help students prepare for careers in the industry.

The fire engine was made possible through a collaborative effort and a regional strong workforce grant with American River College. The program received $100,000 in funding for much-needed equipment and supplies.

Until now, the program had to borrow a fire engine from the local fire department, but now this will allow fire academy students to take a hands-on approach to their learning any time during their class periods.

Also new in the fire technology program is the establishment of the Fire Club. The club is open to all students who may have an interest in a career with the fire service.
