Module 1 - Financial Aid Requirements

FAFSA/CADAA and CCPG (BOG)

  • All students must complete a FAFSA or CADAA application every academic year.
  • FAFSA/CADAA completion is required to determine eligibility for:
    • CCPG (California College Promise Grant/BOG Fee Waiver)
    • EOPS eligibility
    • Additional financial aid programs
  • California Priority Deadline for FAFSA/CADAA:March 2, 2026

Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)

Students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) in order to:

  • Continue receiving financial aid
  • Maintain CCPG/BOG eligibility
  • Remain eligible for certain EOPS services

To keep your financial aid at Los Rios Community College District (LRCCD), you must make Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP). Your progress is checked every semester. You must:

  • Keep at least a 2.0 overall GPA.
  • Pass at least 66.67% of the classes (units) you attempt.
  • Finish your program before reaching 150% of the required units (for example, no more than 90 units for a 60-unit degree).

Your completion rate is based on the units you finish compared to the units you sign up for. For example, if you enroll in 12 units but drop a 4-unit class, you attempted 12 units but completed only 8. Your completion rate would be 66.67%.

If you do not meet these requirements, you may receive a warning or lose your financial aid. You can appeal by submitting a written explanation and supporting documents, such as a doctor's note, if special circumstances affected your academic progress.

EOPS Financial Aid Eligibility Requirements

  • EOPS reviews each student’s Student Aid Index (SAI) annually.
  • Student SAI must fall between:

    • This can be found on your FAFSA/CADAA Submission Summary
  • Student financial aid home college must be CRC.
  • Students must take at least:
    • 1 course at CRC
