Module 9 - EOPS Eligibility Requirements Overview

To qualify for EOPS, students must:

Enrollment Requirements

  • Be enrolled in at least 12 units for your first semester
  • Units may be combined across LRCCD colleges (CRC, SCC, ARC, FLC)
  • At least ONE course must be taken at CRC
  • CRC course must apply toward:
    • Major requirements, and/or
    • General education requirements
  • DSPS students approved for reduced units are exempt from the 12-unit requirement and can take less than 12 units once a letter of reduced units is provided to the EOPS department.

Financial Aid Requirements

Students must complete:

  • FAFSA
  • CADAA
  • CCPG
  • or qualify under AB540

Students must also have:

  • A Student Aid Index (SAI) between -1,500 and 0

Unit Limitation

  • Students must have earned fewer than 70 degree-applicable units

Students Must Meet One of the Following:

  • First-generation college student
  • High school GPA below 2.5
  • Did not graduate high school or pass the GED/high school proficiency exam
  • Current or former foster youth
  • DSPS student
