Admissions and Records Questions

What is a student’s “Graduation GPA”?

For ADT Degrees

This cumulative GPA includes all college coursework that is transferable to our university systems. It does not include remedial, Los Rios-only college level, or master’s degree/higher coursework. Transfer credit from official transcripts from non-Los Rios colleges/universities that are on file with Admissions and Records will be included.

For Non-ADT Degrees

This cumulative GPA includes all college-level coursework. It does not include remedial or master's degree/higher coursework. Transfer credit from official transcripts from non-Los Rios colleges/universities that are on file with Admissions and Records will be included.

A student who petitions for both an ADT and a non-ADT degree will have the higher of the two graduation GPAs used for honors/highest honors purposes for the commencement booklet and the posting/awarding of the degrees.

For the 2025-2026 commencement ceremony that will be held in May, graduation lists are provided to the graduation committee that include summer 2025 graduates, fall 2025 graduates, and spring 2026 candidates. The commencement booklet includes the graduates’ or candidates’ names and honors/highest honors status (if applicable).

Current, ungraded spring 2026 coursework will not be considered when attempting to provide honors/highest honors information for candidates to the graduation committee.

What is Honors Designation at Graduation?

This designation is based on the student’s cumulative graduation GPA.

  • For cumulative GPAs of 3.00 to 3.49, “Honors” will be the designation
  • For GPAs of 3.50 and higher, “Highest Honors” will be the designation

Does a student need to request inclusion of the honors/highest honors status if eligible?

No. This information is automatically provided for students to the graduation committee. It is also posted to students’ transcripts at the time that degrees are awarded.

When will I receive my diploma?

Allow four to six months for the completion of a degree evaluation, after which time diplomas will be mailed to the address listed on your graduation petition.

I don’t remember if I submitted a petition to graduate, how can I check?

Please send an email inquiring about this with your name, student ID number, and the term you think you may have petitioned for to crc-degreeaudit@crc.losrios.edu.
