About the Art Gallery

The Cosumnes River Art Gallery, built in 2014, is a large contemporary exhibition space designed to promote the connectivity of the arts and humanities while encouraging active engagement with the campus and outside community.

The CRC Art Gallery exhibitions support Student Learning Outcomes in the visual arts curriculum while building knowledge in aesthetic, cultural, and historical context of the arts. Classes are offered in art gallery operations providing students hands-on training in practical job skills to give them an advantage in securing employment in the art arena.

The 2,500 square foot facility has several sustainable features, including a “cool roof,” strategically placed windows, polished concrete floor, motorized glare control shades, and LED light fixtures. Gallery admission is free and open to the public.
