The Student Emergency Fund provides grants of up to $500 to eligible Los Rios students. These grants have no repayment obligation. Eligible students will be contacted beginning the week of February 10, 2025 via phone and email.
Eligibility Requirements
- Currently enrolled in at least six units
- Demonstrates an emergency financial need
- Qualifies as low-income by meeting the requirements to receive a California College Promise Grant (CCPG)
- Has earned a GPA of at least 2.0 in one of the students’ previous three semesters terms, or the student is a disabled student who is receiving support through a community college disabled students' programs and services, or be a first time student.
- Meets all of the requirements for an exemption from paying nonresident tuition pursuant to §68130.5 of the California Education Code
