Cultural committees are comprised of passionate faculty, staff and students, dedicated to providing opportunities for the campus community to highlight and celebrate diversity through events, workshops and social activities.
These committees are vital in supporting the Center for Inclusion and Belonging's mission by:
- Increasing engagement and personal success of historically underrepresented populations
- Partnering across campus to support equitable and inclusive learning opportunities
- Fostering a sense of belonging through campus and community engagement and events to celebrate cultural identities
Committees are formed throughout the year and typically begin the planning process at least three months in advance of each event. Meeting days, times and format are determined by the committee. Committee meetings are to be open to faculty, staff and current students to participate.
For more information about current committees, please see our list below. If you would like to learn more about a specific committee, please reach out to the specific center or program.
