Students are required to meet with an Umoja Diop counselor after applying to the program, and once a semester afterward. Students may also meet with a counselor at any time for general support.
Please note: Counselors for the Umoja Diop Scholars program are only available to serve students who are active in this program. Students not in these programs will be redirected to the General Counseling link or phone number, so that the appropriate appointment can be made.
How Do You Want to Meet?
Video or phone appointments can be scheduled up to two weeks in advance. Appointments fill up quickly, so plan ahead. A handful of same-day appointments may be available each day for urgent matters.
Appointments are scheduled during open office hours.

Mask Policy
Masks are strongly recommended but not required in all district facilities, regardless of vaccination status. Los Rios supports any student or employee's choice to continue wearing a mask if it makes them more comfortable.
COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement
The vaccine requirement has been lifted for all Los Rios students and employees.
For the safety of our students and employees, please do not come to campus if you are feeling ill. If you are displaying symptoms, and have an on-campus appointment, you will be given the option to participate in your appointment remotely, or to reschedule.
