Cosumnes River College has many social and academic clubs that can benefit your academic, professional and personal development. Below is a list of this year's clubs and advisors. If you don't see something you're interested in, find a faculty advisor who will guide you in forming a new club and mentoring its members.

The Student Life and Leadership Center (SLLC) welcomes the opportunity to work with club officers and advisors in continuing the club tradition at Cosumnes River College. Our purpose in providing this guide is to give you a tool that will enable you to work effectively with your organization and to introduce you to the services provided by SLLC.

Purpose: To promote excellence to all students in architectural education, training, and practice within the professional environment.

Art Club

Purpose:

  • To encourage artistic growth through collaboration and discussion.
  • To share opportunities and information on events within the art community.
  • To encourage meaningful connections by providing a safe space for self-expression and connection.
  • To encourage the public outside of the art community to take notice of CRC’s art sphere by sharing our works.

Board Games Club

Purpose: The purpose of Board Game Club is to build community and provide a space for individuals who enjoy board games.

Drama Club

Purpose: The purpose of Drama Club is to create a space where students can exercise and improve their acting, share opportunities, and make connections with others in our community. We aim to foster a welcoming community where people feel comfortable expressing themselves and trying new methods and styles for performing.

Guitar Club

Purpose: The purpose of the Guitar Enthusiasts Club is to foster a community of guitar players and enthusiasts who share a passion for music, promote the art of playing the guitar, provide opportunities for skill development, and organize events to celebrate and showcase guitar music in all its forms.

Inclusive Nutrition (IN Club)

Purpose: The purpose of the Inclusive Nutrition (IN) Club is to create an inclusive space for students at Cosumnes River College and the Los Rios Community College District to explore the diverse and multifaceted world of nutrition and food. The club aims to foster discussions on current nutrition issues, analyze nutrition and food-related media, learn from professional guest speakers, and actively work towards enhancing food access and reducing food waste on campus. The IN Club particularly welcomes students who may have previously felt excluded from the field of nutrition, promoting a sense of belonging for all members. The Club welcomes all kinds of diets and eaters.

Outdoors Club

Purpose: To provide an opportunity for CRC students to explore and enjoy the natural wonders of Northern California. As a result, the students are able to take a break from their daily routines, meet some new people, and connect with the outdoors.

Psychology Scholars Society

Purpose: The Psychology Scholars Society aims to inspire recognition for students dedicated to psychology, celebrating both their academic achievements and passion for the field. Through the club, students can explore psychology beyond the classroom, gaining insights into the field, building a shared community, and fostering a strong identity with fellow members. Members will enhance leadership abilities, engage in meaningful research, and apply insights to both individual and collaborative projects. By connecting the students and faculty, this club will cultivate enriching connections and make impactful contributions to our campus and surrounding community through diverse programs and services.

Transfer Community Club

Purpose: The goal of our club is to cultivate a supportive community of students who are looking to transfer and provide them with additional resources as well as guidance through workshops, panels, and club events.
