How Do You Want to Meet?
Appointments can be scheduled up to two weeks in advance. Please plan ahead. Appointments fill up quickly, so schedule early for the best choice of days and times. You must have a Student ID to access this system.

- Arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment time
- Check in at the Transfer, Internship and Career Center (TICC) located on the second floor of the College Center, room 252

Mask Policy
Masks are strongly recommended but not required in all district facilities, regardless of vaccination status. Los Rios supports any student or employee's choice to continue wearing a mask if it makes them more comfortable.

Zoom Video Appointment Requirements
- A desktop or laptop computer works best. Smart phones and tablets may work, but are limited in what they can do.
- A working webcam.
- A working microphone.
- Web browsers: Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Safari (desktop or iOS) required, or a smartphone with the Zoom app downloaded.
Drop-In Sessions are available for quick questions. Our Career Counselor will meet with students on a first-come, first-served basis by video or phone. Drop-in availability and wait times will depend on the counselor’s schedule.

These services are designed to help students make informed career and major selection decisions that are compatible with their values, personality, and interests.
PathwayU Career Exploration Tool
Cost: Free
PathwayU, CRC's online career exploration application, connects students with their greatest sense of purpose as they make choices for education, career, and employment. It's a great way for future and current students to begin exploring careers!
PathwayU is not a skills, abilities or simple interest inventory. It is a platform with a predictive algorithm guiding students through career exploration and employment pathway options where they'll potentially find the greatest sense of purpose and meaning in their lives. This helps to improve student success and enables students to better map their educational journey.

Strong Interest Inventory (STRONG)

Strong Interest Inventory® Interpretive Report provides students with a 10-page in-depth interpretation of your Strong results. The report provides information on the six General Occupational Themes, including Theme definitions, career fields, personal descriptors, and leisure activities, as well as career motivators. It includes detailed information on your interest areas. It includes information on the typical work tasks associated with your potentially most satisfying occupations as well as the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for success and it offers specific suggestions on their preferred work environments.

On-Campus Jobs
Students in good standing are eligible to be hired for a variety of paid on-campus jobs. It’s a great way to earn income while attending school! To view and apply for these opportunities, please log in to your Handshake account.
Federal Work-Study (FWS) is a need-based program. Eligible students who are receiving financial aid through FAFSA will be offered a Federal Work-Study option as part of their financial aid package. FWS students who wish to take advantage of this benefit must be proactive in seeking FWS employment on campus in order to earn up to the amount of FWS award they accept. As with all student jobs, there is no guarantee of employment but Internships & Career Services staff are available to help you apply and prepare for interviews.
