Work Experience and Internship Program

The Work Experience Internship Program is a unique academic program where students apply what they have learned in the classroom to a work environment – all while earning college credit.

How Do You Want to Meet?
To schedule an appointment, either in-person or online, click below and follow the on-screen prompts. You will need your Los Rios Student ID Number to access the online scheduling system.
If you’d like to book by phone, call the Center at (916) 691-7470 during regular business hours, and a staff member will be happy to assist you.
Appointments can be scheduled up to two weeks in advance. Please plan ahead. Appointments fill up quickly, so schedule early for the best choice of days and times. You must have a Student ID to access this system.

Important Information for In-Person Appointment
- Arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment time
- Check in at the Transfer, Internship and Career Center (TICC) located on the second floor of the College Center, room 252
- Know your CRC student ID number
- For the safety of our students and employees, please do not come to campus if you are feeling ill. If you are displaying symptoms, and have an on-campus appointment, you will be given the option to participate in your appointment remotely, or to reschedule.
Online Appointment Requirements
- A desktop or laptop computer works best. Smart phones and tablets may work, but are limited in what they can do.
- A working webcam.
- A working microphone.
- Web browsers: Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Safari (desktop or iOS) required, or a smartphone with the Zoom app downloaded.

Work Experience Employer Agreement Requirement
CRC must have an employer agreement on file before students can participate in the Work Experience program.
Fire Academy Internships
The Fire Academy/Internship Program is a collaborative effort between our Work Experience and Internship Program and the Cosumnes Community Services District Fire Department.
