Work Experience and Internship Program
The Work Experience Internship Program is a unique academic program where students apply what they have learned in the classroom to a work environment – all while earning college credit.
Position Yourself for Success
Students who participate in this program:
- Get a glimpse into their chosen career field and receive career guidance
- Acquire hands-on experience within a structured program
- Practice setting goals
- Learn how to use performance evaluations for improvement
- Develop relationships with potential future employers
- Earn academic credit while working
Getting Started
Make an appointment with Cosumnes River College's Work Experience Program Office to get started. Then, check out our helpful guides and resources for students:
- You must have a Student ID to access the appointment system.
- A desktop or laptop computer works best. Smart phones and tablets may work, but are limited in what they can do.
- A working webcam.
- A working microphone.
- Web browsers: Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Safari (desktop or iOS) required, or a smartphone with the Zoom app downloaded. Internet Explorer is not compatible.
Translation Services
For students who need a translator for an in-person or virtual appointment, please call our office at (916) 691-7470 or visit the Transfer, Internship, and Career Center (College Center, CC-252) to schedule. Let our staff know the language you require. To ensure smooth service, please make this request at least 48 hours in advance.
Online appointments are available by phone or video Monday through Friday.
Appointments can be scheduled up to two weeks in advance. Please plan ahead. Appointments fill up quickly, so schedule early for the best choice of days and times.
