How to Apply for DSPS Services

For questions, please call our office at (916) 691-7275 or email crc-dsps@crc.losrios.edu.

Step 1: Apply for Admission to CRC

If you are not already a student, visit Get Started and Apply to begin the CRC admissions process. After your CRC application is processed, you will receive an email with your Los Rios student ID number, also known as your “W” number. You will use this ID in your DSPS application.

Step 2: Recent High School Graduates Only

Attend a DSPS Information Session

The DSPS Information Session will provide all new incoming high school students with the steps to apply, services offered to students, student rights and responsibilities, and additional information.

Note: If you are in high school and have previously enrolled in CRC DSPS as a Dual Enrollment student, you do not need to watch the Information Session.

DSPS Steps for Recent High School Grads

Current CRC Students

Current CRC students do not need to complete Step 2. Proceed to Step 3.

Step 3: Apply for DSPS

Apply for DSPS services by filling out the online application below. We will make every effort to contact you within five business days after you apply and we've had a chance to review your application. If we need any additional information we will let you know.

Note: You must upload documentation of your disability in the application. Your high school may have documentation that you can obtain, such as an IEP or 504 Plan. If you do not already have documentation, a Disability Verification Form can be completed by your doctor or an appropriate professional.

Step 4: Initial DSPS Intake Appointment

After your application has been reviewed, a staff member will contact you to schedule a meeting with a counselor. At this time your eligibility for services will be determined, and any accommodations outlined.

If you are a recent high school graduate, your counselor can also help plan your first semester list of courses, and will schedule a follow-up appointment to complete your guidelines and letters.

It is the student's responsibility to enroll in classes. Need help enrolling? Visit the Welcome Center, see New Student Support, or contact your Success Coach.
